What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a modern dental solution to straighten teeth and correct bite issues through the use of clear, custom-made aligners. These nearly invisible aligners are designed to gradually pull your teeth into their desired positions.

What types of dental issues can Invisalign correct?

Invisalign is a versatile orthodontic treatment that can effectively address a variety of dental issues, where braces may not be necessarily needed.

Crooked Teeth

Invisalign can help straighten misaligned or crooked teeth. It improves alignment and symmetry for an overall improved appearance.

An overbite occurs when the upper front teeth overlap the lower front teeth. Invisalign can help correct overbites by repositioning your teeth over time.

An underbite occurs when the lower front teeth reach beyond the upper front teeth. Invisalign can help to bring your teeth into a more harmonious position.

Open Bite

An open bite happens when there is a gap between the upper and lower front teeth when the back teeth are together. Invisalign mayhelp close this gap.

Gaps Between Teeth

Where there are spaces or gaps between teeth, Invisalign may help by slowly moving them closer together.

Crowded Teeth

Where there is insufficient space in the jaw for teeth to align properly, Invisalign may help treat crowded teeth.

Our Health Funds

How much do invisible aligners cost?

At Kedron Family Dental, we provide Invisalign treatment for adults. The cost depends on how much straightening you’ll need, but on average, we quote $7000 for Invisalign. This includes the final retainers.

To make the process that much simpler, we offer FREE Invisalign consultations. This includes a comprehensive assessment, x-rays and a treatment plan / quote.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

When it comes to straightening your teeth, Invisalign stands out as a great potential option to remove the need for brackets and wires. In addition to the obvious aesthetic advantages, Invisalign offers numerous benefits. Here’s 5 of the many:

Aesthetic Appeal

Because Invisalign is virtually invisible, it provides a discreet treatment option compared to traditional braces. This is particularly useful if you wish to maintain a natural appearance during your teeth corrections.

Clear aligners are custom-made to fit you. They do not include wires and brackets, which helps to reduce the possibility of irritation or discomfort typically associated with traditional braces.

One of the main benefits of Invisalign is that the clear aligners are able to be taken out of the mouth. You can easily remove them when eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. This allows for greater flexibility and convenience in your day-to-day life.

No Dietary Restrictions

Since your clear aligners can be removed when eating, there are no dietary restrictions. You can enjoy your favourite foods without worrying about damaging your braces or getting food stuck between wires.

Does Invisalign really work?

Invisalign can be highly effective in straightening teeth, particularly for mild to moderate misalignment cases. The key to their success lies in consistently wearing them for the recommended time each day.

The effectiveness of Invisalign treatment is further influenced by factors such as the complexity of your orthodontic issues and your cooperation with the care of your Invisalign.

While aligners provide a versatile and aesthetic solution to crooked teeth, your commitment to following your treatment plan and maintaining good oral hygiene significantly contributes to getting the most out of your Invisalign.

What our patients say

On my recent visit I took my little boy for his first dental experience. The staff were wonderful and hygienist Alex did an amazing job of making him feel comfortable and ensuring he had an enjoyable experience. He had no complaints and even talks about when we will go back to the dentist. As my dental experience as a child was terrible, I could not recommend Alex and the team highly enough for a visit for children to make them comfortable and a positive experience.

I went for a routine check up and clean as a new customer to the practice. From checking in (Abby) to the clean (Dr Chantal and Kian), everyone was very professional and thorough. A very comprehensive assessment was made and a meticulous clean was provided by Dr Chantal. Overall great dental experience and I will be back.

I am a white knuckle dental patient (a product of school mobile dental care back in the 1960’s) I had a crown installed all in one visit today (less than 3 hours). Totally painless. All staff were wonderful and highly empathetic to my issues. The practice is highly recommended, which is why I have been a patient at Kedron for the last 15 years.

Dr Chantal and the dental assistants that work there are fantastic - professional and takes good care of your oral health. I would keep going back despite having moved to the other side of the river :))

Elwynn has been my dentist for many years, and without a doubt is one of the best! Extremely professional and knowledgeable; but where he is really ahead of the rest, is the care and explanation he provides throughout any treatment or examination. Great to have him in the Brisbane area!
